Born in Tromsø, Norway, Josef Bamba has been building his career since he was young; yet his success on an international platform skyrocketed upon winning the prestigious Movida Corona World Championship DJ Competition in 2008.

Winning one of the biggest European DJ contests led to a one-year contract with the hottest club brands around, Pacha Ibiza. It was his first headliner in the main room, and he was just 20 years old.

From that day on, he became global-touring DJ and has played sets all around the world at some of the most reputable venues. This definitely helped to launch his career, and he started 2016 off with a bang as he supported Tiësto on his “Under The Northern Lights Tour” in Norway. He has also performed at club nights from the likes of David Guetta and Steve Aoki.

His bootleg remix of LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” became massive in 2011, with support from a number of artists including Paul Oakenfold and Antoine Clamaran. His remixes have gone on to many compilation albums, most notable is Wamdue Project’s “King of My Castle” which features Jonathan Mendelsohn, as well as Dim Chris’ “Hype” which was a remix collaboration with Lanick.

2012 saw him release his first single, titled “Ayla”, on Pacha Recordings. This single made it on to a few compilation albums. This year, 2017, saw him release a brand new single titled “Tempted To Touch”, released on Uniform Beat – which is a division of Playground Music Scandinavia. This one song turns the Rupee classic 2004 song “Tempted To Touch” into a totally current and new track, turning it into a 2017 summer club anthem.

To say Josef Bamba’s 2017 is going to be hectic, is to say the least. He has practically been booked for venues and festivals all this year, with some bookings going as far as 2018. Expect to see him promoted at some of your favourite clubs in Miami and in Norway; but we reckon he has many more club venues to announce soon.
