Have you ever been to a club and they’ve put a remix of a song that you haven’t heard in years? There are many DJs choosing to remix an old classic to make it current and new again, just look at Sam Feldt’s “Show Me Love”, Felix Jaehn’s “Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)”, Bastille’s “Of The Night”, or 99 Souls’ “The Girl Is Mine”. Not only that, but DJs like to switch up their sets from time to time, just look at the Teddy Cream’s viral video where he played High School Musical’s “Breaking Free” during his DJ set – it was a Jesse Blotch & Jesse James Bootleg Mix.

There are many songs we want to hear when out clubbing, but these totally deserve being remixed, revamped, and played on our nights out.

First off, we want a mash-up of popular garage songs from way back when. We’d love to hear H2O’s “What’s It Gonna Be” featuring Platnum remixed with Sweet Female Attitude’s “Flowers”. Imagine the house track that would come from this. Currently, Platnum and Sweet Female Attitude are collaborating at gigs, singing these songs separately; but with the right DJ, they could totally combine both songs and create the dance sensation we are all craving for.

Lumidee had a go at revamping Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)” twice, back in 2006 and 2013 which both featured Fatman Scoop, and it totally worked. Now, we want someone to remix her debut single “Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh)”, this is a total classic that just fails to get a party started nowadays unless a new current remix is made. This is something we completely need.

There’s a few club classics that fit this bill too, ones we’re dying to hear revamped for club venues all around the world. We totally need a new “Last Night a D.J. Saved My Life”, originally by Indeep; although Milk Inc. did release a trance vocal version, it never became a hit. Then there’s “Something” by Lasgo, this is one we haven’t heard in a club for way too long; it was made current in a collaboration with Taylor Jones and has various revamped versions over the years, but we want a fresh updated version instead. And how can we forget about Fragma’s “Toca’s Miracle” and Wamdue Project’s “King of My Castle”? These two definitely need revamping and put on a DJ set in a club we’re in.

Finally, let’s never forget XTM & DJ Chucky’s “Fly on the Wings of Love”, which was originally the Eurovision 2000 winning song by the Olsen Brothers. XTM & DJ Chucky’s version hit the clubs hard, with vocals coming from Annia (also known as Eva Marti). It charted in a few European countries back in 2003, but it’s about time we have a new version for clubs around the globe.

We can’t wait to hear what new versions of classic songs are released in 2017.
