You may have seen his name floating about, either on various remixes, on compilation albums, or maybe you’ve just heard about the buzz behind this rising DJ. However you’ve stumbled across his name, we’re confidently sure that Corey James’ career is about to take off.
One of the rising stars on Nicky Romero’s imprint label, Protocol Records, he has recently released “Bring It”, one song that will motivate you to dance until sunrise, one that will help you meet your deadlines. It brings out competitiveness like no other song can.
He hails from Liverpool, in the UK, and has been building quite the career for himself. With fans from all over the world excited to see what is to come from Corey James, he’s definitely one we’ll be keeping our eyes on.
For years, he has been setting venues alight with his DJ sets, mainly in Liverpool at Garlands. Soon enough, he’s career started taking him places, including Ministry of Sound at the start of 2016, which only helped to establish his momentum, pushing him abroad to Miami and various European countries.
He has released various singles and EPs on a number of record labels including Size, Big Beat, Sosumi, Neon, Zerothree, and Protocol. He’s music has appeared on a number of compilation albums, most noticeably on Nicky Romero Presents Protocol Miami 2017, where his song “Front 2 Back” was released solely on that album.
Not only that, but he has done remixes for Galantis, Steve Angello, Max Vangeli, Alesso, Feenixpawl, and AN21. We’re sure he has many more coming up, to help push his name out there. His Galantis remix created a buzz upon release. He’s definitely proving that he’s not just another DJ.
He has been booked for a few festivals this year, although we expect more announcements to follow. He will be at Summerburst on 9 June in Stockholm, Sweden; Balaton Sound on 5 July in Zamardi, Hungary; Starbeach on 21 August in Chersonissos, Greece; and Creamfields on 26 August in Daresbury, United Kingdom.
