Glimmers of hope are on the horizon as some European destinations open up to the possibilities of open air gatherings as we tip toe our way into the new normal. Upcoming festival destinations like Malta and Croatia take advantage of the traditional big clubbing destinations like London, Ibiza and Berlin erring on the side of caution. Ireland’s Roadmap For Reopening Society & Business may be the first government coronavirus recovery plan to specifically address music festivals. Ibiza has taken a firm hand with the bigger club venues threatening closures into 2021 however there is hope for outdoor and smaller capacity venues, you can read more about that in our Social Local article here.
Malta will be hosting the BPM festival “We’re excited to announce we’re headed to Malta for 3 days & nights, from September 11-13, 2020, where we can dance together again! Our new journey to the picturesque Mediterranean island is the perfect place to celebrate our love for music with over 300 days of sun a year.” They announced on their website, more info on that here.
Croatia’s BSH Island Festival will take place from July 9th to 12th at Zrce beach, following required “epidemiological measures.” Croatia has eased its travel and movement restrictions, IQ magazine reports.

Brussels venue Fuse has announced an open-air series at sister space Tour & Taxis. The series starts on July 9th. You can read more about that here.
French festival Sarcus announced it will go ahead this September 18th and 19th at Chateau-Monastère.
