CARL COX, SASHA AND KEVIN SAUNDERSON HEADLINE THE SET FOR LOVE XMAS APPEAL FOR WORLD CHILDREN’S DAY

The world’s largest simultaneous DJ live stream is back with a bang!  Starting on the 20th November (World Children’s Day) through to Sunday the 22nd, the Set For Love Xmas Appeal will be raising funds to create a sustainable future for children in developing countries. Thousands of DJs across the world will join headliners Sasha, Carl Cox, Kevin Saunderson B2B The Saunderson Brothers, Fatima Hajji and Josh Butler in a bid to raise funds.

The appeal launches on World Children’s Day with a 10-hour livestream on Beatport from 3:00pm – 1:00am GMT featuring the headline DJ sets. The stream will include the almighty Sasha streaming a sunset set from an iconic Ibiza location, Carl Cox sharing a Set For Love from Australia and techno originator Kevin Saunderson coming from Detroit with a world exclusive of The Saunderson Family. Plus with sets by Fatima Hajji, Josh Butler and more headline artists still to be announced it looks set to be the biggest Set For Love yet.

DJ’s of all levels are invited to participate in the charity mixing marathon by streaming their own Set For Love on their chosen platform at their chosen time during the weekend and fundraise.

Organised by the Last Night A DJ Saved My Life charity, the event will build on the success of previous Set For Love events, which have already raised over £80,000 earlier in the year. These funds, raised for the charity’s Covid-19 Relief Appeal, provided food, water and medical supplies to communities in Uganda, Tanzania, Nepal and The Phillipines.

This time funds raised will support initiatives focussed on creating sustainable futures for children and young adults in developing countries.  These include projects to stop child labour and get children in education, a centre for the rehabilitation of young girls who have experienced sex trafficking and domestic abuse and the creation of sustainable food and water resources

Jonny Lee, Founder of LNADJ said, “It’s a positive step for the dance music community to support World Children’s Day through Set For Love.  We’re raising funds to help provide children in developing countries with the fundamental basics of life – from sustainable food and water resources through to safety and education.”

Carl Cox said, “I’m happy to be a part of the Set For Love Xmas Appeal for World Children’s Day and hope many DJs around the world will join in between the 20th and 22nd of November.  Please check us out and support the cause, it’s going to change a child’s life forever and all the while having fun with the music we’re playing. Let’s make this one the biggest it can possibly be!”

The last two Set For Love DJ initiatives have seen a mammoth 148 hours of simultaneous live streaming from more than 1,000 DJs in over 80 different countries. Beginner DJs have been able to play alongside their heroes, as Eats Everything, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, Doorly, Nightmares on Wax, Louie Vega and many more of the biggest names in the business have been on the bill.

Once again, industry heavyweights Beatport, Bop DJ, Point Blank, Digital DJ Tips, Mixmasters, Plug In Boutique, Pioneer DJ and Izotope have teamed up to support the global event, and will be providing prizes and incentives for the DJs fundraising.

Those looking to take part, can simply register at www.setforlove.org from Tuesday 10th November and receive a Set For Love DJ Pack that has everything needed to promote a set and arrange donations. Plus, there is access to Q and A’s, webinars and a like-minded community of peers, all of which offer technical and fundraising support.
