Capturing the euphoria of the first days of summer in a song, ‘Summertime’is the brand new single from UK Garage artist Danny Dubbz. Featuring rapper Ironik who perfectly captures the vibe that Dubbz was going for in the track. The collaboration between these two artists was seamless from the get go, both recording remotely. GIving us that blissful summertime vibe, Danny Dubbz has made his career on the belief that Garage is sunshine music, and ‘Summertime’ proves he is not wrong!

Growing up with a soundtrack of Hardcore, Jungle, Acid House and UK Garage coming through the pirate radio airwaves in South London, Danny Dubbz’ path always lay in music. Dubbz got his start when he joined Uptown Forum, an online community where he began to learn DJ techniques and connected with likeminded people. This is where he got his first radio show, Rampage FM, where he quickly grew in popularity. This led to shows on other stations such as Freeze Fm, Ice Cold Fm, Raw Mission Fm, Flex Fm and Delight Fm. He got his big break in 2006, Dj Charma took a liking to his music and wasted no time in offering him a spot on one of his acclaimed Streetz ep’s with the track ‘Miss You’. This track got picked up by BBC 1xtra and KISS Fm, and was picked up by DJ EZ who had been the main inspiration for Danny Dubbz all those years ago. Dubbz soon turned to the next logical step in his career and started producing his own original tunes.
After a couple of studio sessions they managed to write and produce ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’, which was very quickly snapped up by UK Garage legend Marvel for his new label Marvelis. Featuring remixes from DJ Q, Ed Case and Solution this once again propelled Danny to another level. Guest shows on BBC 1Xtra and KISS came in quick succession along with a guest mix recorded for BBC Radio 1.Danny continued to work hard in the studio working on official and unofficial remixes for artists including Beyonce, Rihanna, Asia Cruise and Ne-yo to name a few, which led to signing with Ministry of Sound in 2009. After taking some time out to be with his family, Danny Dubbz is back at it again, and his new single ‘Summertime’ proves that he still has it!
