Mujeres Sagradas is the latest E.P from Brazilian raised and North American based DJ/Producer Naza on the renowned Mexican label ‘Akbal’.
Reinforcing a tribal style accompanied by a profound message from Naza’s music identity, both cultures are on show from countries where the artist has lived.
Naza comments “This EP was made with a mix of Mexico and Brazil and reinforces the importance of connecting with our ancestral cultures. What motivates me is to guide people on an endless journey of joy, I want to vibrate when dancing.”
The E.P is comprised of two tracks, Mujeres Sagradas and Wakomaya. With more than fourteen minutes of Latin beats and captivating vocals, the esoteric and deep plot invites the listener to an immersion that relaxes the mind and guides the body in a light, almost spiritual dance.
Mujeres Sagradas is an afro house track that presents meaningful lyrics that celebrates women with respect and admiration. The Lyrics translate “The Feminine is the Sacred, which gives rise to all human beings.” Naza comments “I wanted to pay homage to women with this beautiful vocal”. The title of the second track Wakomaya translates to happiness from the language of the Amazonian Yawanawá people. Wakomaya is a more organic and happy cut with an upbeat feel. The vocal guides you and the track opens and builds with deep, joyful melodies.
