ULTRA Europe, Europe’s Premier Destination Music Festival, celebrated its milestone tenth edition in July, welcoming more than 145,000 visitors from over 140 countries. This means ULTRA Europe continues to hold the title of the largest international music event in Croatia, and is one of the most successful festivals in this part of Europe.
This figure includes the cumulative number of visitors over the three days of the main event at Split’s Park Mladeži, as well as all visitors to the Destination ULTRA concept, which spans three locations and four parties. Additionally, this number includes all attendees of the large ULTRA camp in Omiš, and those who enjoyed one of the numerous boat parties. Out of the 140 countries represented, Croatian Ultranauts made up the largest portion of the crowd for the first time in the festival’s history, followed by visitors from Spain, the USA, Australia, the UK, France, Germany, Poland, Norway, Sweden, and Italy. Guests from all European Union countries attended the event, and the largest growth in visitors was noted from Asia. Additionally, visitors to this milestone edition also came from distant, exotic countries such as Tanzania, Costa Rica, Ivory Coast, Namibia, Kenya, and Panama.
More than 200 DJs from around the world performed at ULTRA Europe 2024 for the 10th anniversary. ULTRA Europe’s Main Stage featured stadium-smashing performances from headliners like Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Axwell Martin Garrix, W&W, Timmy Trumpet, DJ Snake, Afrojack, Alison Wonderland, and more.
Boasting a intricate stage design, ULTRA Europe’s RESISTANCE stage hosted world-renowned acts such as Adam Beyer, Eric Prydz, Camelphat, Boris Brejcha, Deborah de Luca, and more to showcase elite house and techno performances.
The stages were also graced by the ULTRA Angels dance team, with participants from Croatia, Serbia, the Netherlands, Argentina, and the USA. The festival was covered by over 250 accredited domestic and international journalists, and official social media channels recorded more than 8 million unique impressions that reaffirm ULTRA Europe’s status.
The festival also boasts the largest number of VIP suites compared to other events of this type around the world. Each festival evening hosted over 5,000 loyal VIP guests who arrived in Split on more than 60 private jets. The ULTRA Europe maritime fleet was comprised 7 cruise ships and over 200 sailboats. Every day, by 10 a.m., the City Cleanliness Department fully prepared Park Mladeži Stadium for the new spectacle, while security measures remained at the highest possible level. To ensure the festival’s organization was of the highest standard, over 3,000 people were involved and the setup, execution, and dismantling of the festival at Park Mladeži took exactly one month from June 24 to July 24 after equipment arrived in 150 trucks.
ULTRA Europe makes use of all of Croatia’s tourism offerings by allowing attendees to journey across island destinations Brač, Hvar, and Vis. Destination ULTRA Europe is a unique love affair between Croatian islands and electronic dance music, whose special magic has touched the hearts of thousands of visitors from all over the world. This concept offers an ideal combination of extraordinary experiences for the senses, across three unique locations with four party stations.
The first stop this year was Brač, where music enthusiasts were greeted with an unforgettable dance night at the Regatta party at 585 Club in Bol, featuring headliners Lucas & Steve.
Next up was a double header at Hvar’s picturesque Carpe Diem Beach Club, commencing with the electro-fueled ULTRA Beach Hvar day party that hosted energetic headlining performances from Jonas Blue, Sam Feldt, and Tchami.
Shortly after, RESISTANCE Hvar kicked off the evening, featuring underground grooves by MASSANO and KASIA.
The final night concluded with the RESISTANCE Vis Destination ULTRA Closing Party at one of the most exclusive locations in the Mediterranean, Fort George, which was soundtracked by KOROLOVA.
Like a personalized tour guide, ULTRA indirectly invites its visitors to explore other places such as Dubrovnik, Krka Waterfalls, and Plitvice Lakes, with guests staying in Croatia for an average of about seven nights.
Through the synergy of music, entertainment, and tourism, ULTRA Europe has permanently placed Split and the Split-Dalmatia region on the map of the world’s most desirable destinations.
