Enigmatic artist 1788-L has teamed up with Seattle-based producer/DJ Quackson for a new collaboration ‘WARTYPE’ out now via HypnoVizion.
A ferocious force from start to finish, ‘WARTYPE’ is an electrifying kickoff to 1788-L’s new era. ‘WARTYPE’ sees 1788-L continue to experiment with intense and complex sound design alongside HypnoVizion alum Quackson. Thunderous builds offset cataclysmic drops as ‘WARTYPE’’s intensity heightens with each twist and turn. 1788-L is an American DJ/producer seen as one of the pioneers of the midtempo genre. Launched in 2018, the previously anonymous project quickly garnered attention with his unique techno / industrial remixes. Since then, he’s collaborated with Rezz, The Glitch Mob, Illenium, Blanke, and more. 1788-L unmasked himself last year ahead of the release of his debut album ALPHA+ via mau5trap. ‘WARTYPE’ marks 1788-L’s debut on HypnoVizion and first original release of the year.
Jackson Wells, aka Quackson, is a DJ and music producer from Seattle, Washington. Quackson’s music is a bass-heavy journey with twists and turns that engage the listener from start to finish. His releases on HypnoVizion, Bassrush, Space Yacht, Ophelia, and Alter/Ego have caught the attention of some of the biggest names in bass music including Rezz, Deathpact, and Excision. ‘WARTYPE’ marks Quackson’s third appearance on HypnoVizion, following ‘Gyrate’ with Rezz and Wreckno and ‘Caffeine Induced Psychosis’ with EDDIE.
