Kings Dead’s latest release, Path to Paradise by Haddadi Von Engst, brings a fresh twist to the West Coast hip hop scene. The track immerses listeners in the laid-back yet raw energy of LA, combining smooth, mellow vibes with gritty basslines that rumble beneath a foundation of hard-hitting beats. The production captures the feeling of cruising through the city at night, where the bass reverberates through the streets and the aggressive rhythm mirrors the pulse of the city’s vibrant nightlife. With Path to Paradise, the duo brings a unique blend of sun-soaked coolness and underground grit that’s bound to make an impact.

Haddadi Von Engst, a name once veiled behind untitled white-label releases, emerged as a powerhouse in electronic music during the pandemic’s transformative years. In 2020, HVE officially debuted through the Canadian label You Plus One, quickly leaving a seismic impact on the Beatport charts. Their first release, I Was Blind, featuring a remix by Rodriguez Jr., reached #3 on Beatport’s Melodic House & Techno Charts. They followed up with Run, featuring an Einmusik remix, which soared to #1 on the same chart and claimed the #2 spot on Beatport’s overall Top 100. With each track accompanied by superstar collaborators and remixes, Haddadi Von Engst’sreleases, including the highly anticipated Till the End with Phonic Youth and Super Flu, continue to push boundaries and cementing HVE as a formidable force in the genre.
