From the artist
My musical taste is very obscure and schizophrenic I’ll be listening to 145 BPM techno like AIRROD, a minute later to The Doors, and then in half hour to Atarashii Gakko! (a J-Pop group you can’t sleep on, I’m just saying). I’m the same with my auditory taste in dance music ( I hate the term EDM, so I won’t use it). I got introduced to dance music at EDC 2009 when it was still in Los Angeles, and it changed my life.
I was a rock and roll and hip-hop head, was into groups like The Clash, Atmosphere, Pink Floyd, Tupac, Black Flag, etc. . I won’t go on and on about my history with dance music because this article would be a few pages long. But over the 15 years of being in love with dance music I listened to everything and every genre from happy hardcore to witch house. But here are a few cli notes: Ferry Corsten was my rst favorite DJ and Boys Noize at Coachella 2012 changed my life and made fall in love with techno when I was just into big room and trance, I been to international festivals like Tomorrowland Belgium and Brazil , Ultra in Miami, Japan and Croatia. I saw every DJ at least 10 times at this point. I been to hundreds of underground events, raves, concerts and clubs events in Southern California at this point. I’m obsessed with dance music, I’m always on Beatport trying to nd hidden gems in all genres.
Right now, I bet you are thinking what this has to do with my new track ‘Dance All Night’? Well,Dance All Night is a track inspired by the dierent dance music genres that I love, in his case melodic techno and tech house. I started with a power bassline and percussion typically in rolling tech house because I wanted the people to dance as soon as people heard it. I was inspired by the basslines from DJ’s like Meduza and Max Styler. The underling melody is the perfect combo of trance and big room. For the drop I wanted it to be unique, so I made a drop inspired by Malaa, one of my all-time favorite producers. Dance All Night is a mix of all the genres I love and play in my DJ sets.
