In a captivating fusion of music and film, Yellow Claw’s explosive 2024 hit “CRUSH” with Natte Visstick and RHYME, originally released in March 2024, ignites Nicole Kidman’s unforgettable rave scene in Halina Reijn’s new film “Babygirl” (2024), starring Nicole Kidman, Harris Dickinson, Antonio Banderas.

The Dutch-directed movie throws Kidman into the heart of a pulsating underground party, where “CRUSH” sets the sonic stage for one of the film’s standout moments. The track’s chorus “I got a crush, can’t get enough, you told me hush, oh what a rush” aligns seamlessly with the matter at hand. The “Babygirl” effect is indeed in full effect, with the song now making over 1 million streams per week.

The collaboration came together naturally when Jim Taihuttu personally introduced the track to Reijn during filming. The crew was instantly drawn to the aggressive techno song, which made it the perfect fit for the film’s iconic rave sequence. With a history of placements in projects like “22 Jump Street,” “Good Boys,” “Madden NFL,” and “Just Dance,” Yellow Claw has established themselves as a powerhouse in the entertainment industry. “Babygirl” is yet another testament to their ability to create music that elevates cinematic storytelling.

As one-half of Yellow Claw, Jim Taihuttu is no stranger to the film world himself. His directorial work includes “Hardcore Never Dies,” “The East,” “Wolf,” and “Rabat,” all of which hold strong IMDb ratings ranging from 6.8 to 7.8. This dual expertise in music and film further strengthens the duo’s artistic influence.

Dutch electronic icons Yellow Claw have been fueling dance floors worldwide for nearly a decade. To date, they have accumulated over 1 billion streams, headlined the biggest festivals and nightclubs, and collaborated with industry heavyweights like DJ Snake, Steve Aoki, Gucci Mane, Tinashe, Tiësto, A$AP Ferg, and Juicy J. Their global hits – including “DJ Turn It Up,” “Do You Like Bass,” and “Till It Hurts” – remain club anthems to this day. Since 2010, Yellow Claw has steadily risen toward electronic dance music supremacy.

Their 2015 debut album, “Blood For Mercy,” debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart and Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart, earning them an Edison Award – the Dutch equivalent of the GRAMMY Award. The album featured the smash hit “In My Room” feat. Ty Dolla $ign, Tyga, & DJ Mustard, which amassed over 160 million Spotify streams.

Beyond their music, Yellow Claw has built a distinct brand identity, known for their sophisticated stage outfits and powerful live performances. As they continue to push boundaries in both music and film, their influence remains undeniable, proving that their heavy beats and cinematic vision are a perfect match for the entertainment world.
