The Ferragosto week has traditionally been a key period for electronic music events in Italy. In 2025, there is no shortage of scheduled offerings, spread across the country, especially in holiday destinations.
Ca’ Margherita – Lignano Sabbiadoro (Friuli Venezia Giulia)
On Thursday, August 14, Ca’ Margherita will host David Morales behind the decks. Considered one of the pioneers of House music, David Morales has been active since the late 1980s and has performed at legendary New York clubs like Paradise Garage and Red Zone. He has won a Grammy Award and collaborated with artists such as Mariah Carey, U2, Michael Jackson, and Madonna. In 2018, he founded his own label, DIRIDIM, which blends traditional sounds with electronic experimentation.
The long weekend at Ca’ Margherita continues on Friday the 15th with the Trapstar Festival, and on Saturday the 16th with special guest DJ Tatanka.
Villa delle Rose – Misano Adriatico (Romagna)
On Thursday the 14th, the console will be taken over by James Hype. The British DJ and producer built a strong reputation thanks to his high-energy performances and hit productions like “More Than Friends” and “Ferrari.” He is currently a resident at Hï Ibiza with the night “Our House” (alongside Italy’s own Meduza) and returns for his third consecutive summer at Villa delle Rose.
On Friday the 15th, the club welcomes Il Pagante, and on Saturday the 16th, it’s the turn of Prospa and DJ Protein. On Friday the 22nd, Bob Sinclar returns, and on Saturday the 30th, special guest Themba.
Tinì Soundgarden – Cecina (Tuscany)
On Thursday the 14th, Ferragosto will be celebrated with an extended set by Ilario Alicante. Originally from Livorno, Ilario Alicante gained international attention at a young age. His track “Vacaciones En Chile” launched his career in 2008, and since then he has performed at events like Time Warp, Creamfields, elrow, and Zamna Tulum. He has won awards at the DJ Awards in Ibiza and was part of the Cocoon collective led by Sven Väth.
On Saturday the 16th, Tinì will feature an all-female console with Fatima Hajji and Lee Ann Roberts.
King’s Club – Jesolo (Venice)
Fresh from co-organizing the Solid Grooves one-day festival at Spiaggia del Faro, on Saturday the 16th, Mathame will be behind the decks. Starting their musical journey on the slopes of Mount Etna, Mathame have made a name for themselves with a sound that blends electronic music and visual experimentation. Their audiovisual show “Love Somebody” was presented at Tomorrowland, and in Ibiza, they are residents every Friday at Amnesia. They’ve worked with artists like Calvin Harris, John Summit, and Ellie Goulding.
On Saturday the 23rd, also at King’s, the console will feature Davide Squillace, Twenty Six, and Calvin Clarke.
Vega Discotheque – Gallipoli (Apulia)
On Friday the 13th, Jimmy Sax and Andrea Damante perform, followed on Thursday the 14th by Capoplaza, and on Saturday the 16th by Gabry Ponte. Active since the 1990s—first with Eiffel 65 and then as a solo artist—Gabry Ponte remains a prominent figure in Italian dance music.
In 2025, he composed the theme song for the Sanremo Festival and will represent San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest. This past June, he became the first DJ to perform solo at San Siro Stadium in Milano, in front of 56,000 people.
