The second collaboration between Alev Tav and Alanas Chosnau has taken shape with the release of Golden Sun on Glasgow Underground, and apparently this is not all! DJs can find the track on Beatport.

Golden Sun marks the official start of their work together as a duo, blending Tav’s deep house sound with Chosnau’s pop background for upcoming performances together.

The project reflects a growing movement of cross-genre partnerships in electronic music. For both artists, this collaboration opens a new chapter, setting the stage for future performances where Tav will appear as DJ and Chosnau as vocalist.

Released on 22 August 2025, Golden Sun carries the hallmarks of Glasgow Underground’s deep house catalogue, pairing a steady bassline with melodic vocal lines. The single follows the pair’s first joint release Sun On My Face, which came out on 30 May 2025 through Cocoa, and demonstrates how their creative dialogue is developing.

Both artists describe the track as an exploration of freedom and lightness. While rooted in club-ready grooves, it also emphasises emotion and melody, underlining the duo’s balance of underground rhythm and pop sensibility. Listen here:

“Golden Sun is a step forward for me as a producer. I wanted to create space for Alanas’s voice inside a deep house framework, keeping the energy for the dancefloor but adding emotion and melody that reflect our dialogue as a duo”, says Alev Tav.

For Alev Tav, the collaboration represents a continuation of her evolution as a producer. After releasing more techno-oriented tracks on Glasgow Underground in the past, she has since won a Pete Tong DJ Academy Award, relocated to Ibiza, and played at venues including Hï. With Golden Sun, Tav has channelled her experience into a deep house sound shaped by hypnotic grooves and an emphasis on clarity for Chosnau’s vocals.

Known for his long-standing impact on Lithuania’s pop scene and a catalogue of national hits, Alanas Chosnau brings his high-level production and performance experience into a fresh partnership with Alev Tav. Having journeyed from the stages of electronic synth-pop experimentation to authentic pop classics, he now reimagines his artistry in a modern context where his vocals weave into deep house textures, merging melodic storytelling with hypnotic electronic dance atmospheres.

“For me this collaboration is a way of connecting my pop music experience  with the international dance world. Singing over Alev’s production allows me to explore a new expression of myself as an artist while staying true to my roots”, says Alanas Chosnau.

Equally vital was the support of the music producer Kevin McKay. The sonic backbone comes from the Glasgow Underground label that facilitated the release of the final version of the track. 

With Golden Sun, Alev Tav  and Alanas Chosnau move beyond the studio, stepping up as a full performing duo. Their live concept will see Tav at the decks and Chosnau delivering vocals in a real time, bringing their hybrid music directly to the audiences.

The duo will be soon lining up their first live shows, with more projects in the pipeline. Both continue to pursue their solo careers while building this collaboration, pushing their sound further onto the international dance music stage.
