Vincee D unleashes “Control” via Groove Alchemy Records on November 14th — and the title isn’t an accident. This tech house cut is engineered to command the room with surgical precision: a relentless bassline drives the foundation while razor-sharp synth stabs slice through the mix, grabbing attention and refusing to let go.
What sets it apart is Vincee D’s understanding of dynamics. FX and build-ups aren’t deployed randomly but used intentionally to ratchet up the tension before unleashing a drop that truly delivers. It’s peak-time ammunition from a producer who knows exactly when to tease, when to build, and when to let it rip.
“Control” is dancefloor dominance distilled into five minutes.
Was there anything unique or unexpected you tried during the creation process?
My initial intention was to write a tech house track and fuse some melodic techno elements into it, inspired by artists like Max Styler. While writing the main break, I came across this trance arp synth, and I was surprised to find that it fit the track really well.
Looking ahead, what are your goals or plans for this year as an artist/DJ?
My goal is very simple: to keep self-releasing tracks and build a solid back catalog. Since I took a lengthy break from music, I don’t have anything particularly interesting in the pipeline for now. My proudest moments were playing at my own parties back when I was organizing events in Budapest.
How do you think your sound or style has changed over time?
I started out playing tech house, then fell in love with Drumcode-style, peak-time techno. I later ventured into more underground styles and played hardgroove for a while in some of Budapest’s underground clubs. Now I’ve come full circle back to tech house, as I believe it suits me best and I enjoy the different directions the genre is developing.
What has been the best moment in your career as an artist/DJ?
Playing at sold-out events my friends and I organized at some of my favorite clubs in Budapest.
Do you have a dream collaboration or venue where you’d like to perform one day?
Way too many to mention just a couple. I love dance music and the culture around it, so I don’t want to single out any specific artists or venues.
What’s something fans might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m quite introverted in nature, but with the right company my personality flips completely and I become very talkative.
