“Dark Beat” is the new Club Bad Records release from Venezuelan DJ & producer Dave Ruthwell and Colombian artist SGX, an Afro-House version based on the 2002 original track by Oscar G & Ralph Falcon.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Dave Ruthwell has established himself as an international DJ and producer within the Afro House, Latin House, and high-energy House scene. From the very beginning, he has blended Latin percussion, African grooves, and modern club energy — a fusion that has earned him support from major names like Hugel, Tiesto, David Guetta, Nicky Romero, Martin Garrix, Swedish House Mafia and other leading figures in the industry.
A major milestone in his career came when he was selected as an official remixer for “Finally” by Swedish House Mafia & Alicia Keys, marking his arrival among the most respected producers in the global scene. His music has been released on renowned labels such as Make The Girls Dance, Spinnin’ Records, and more, while his name was featured in the Top 101 Producers of 1001Tracklists.com, proving his growing impact within the DJ community.
This year has been one of his strongest yet: his remixes of classics like Pump Up The Jam, Milkshake, Nuevayol, and DMTF have become favorites among DJs and charted high on platforms like Hypeddit, reaching #1 positions and gaining international traction. His catalog combines underground club power with refined aesthetics and global appeal. Now leading his own imprint, El Código Records, Dave Ruthwell is focused on pushing his unique sound and supporting emerging talents. His vision is clear — to build a bridge between Latin-Afro rhythms and the global electronic music scene, with elegance, authenticity, and undeniable energy.
