Electric Mode had the pleasure of receiving a sneak preview of rising electronic artist Cenk Gursoy’s upcoming single ‘Kaleidoscope’.
Set for release on 30th January via AudioWave Records, Kaleidoscope sees Cenk team up with vocalist and songwriter Zoe Kypri, known for a string of notable collaborations with the likes of Franky Wah, Made By Pete, Damian Lazarus, and many other leading names in electronic music.
The track was produced over a two-month studio process between the two artists. In Cenk’s own words, “It’s a little-known toy, but one everyone remembers from childhood. It’s supposed to have a colourful perspective, but in our song it becomes something else, a toy people can’t seem to escape from, endlessly searching for a way out.”
Blending Melodic House and Techno with atmospheric sound design, the track unfolds as a hypnotic journey of evolving melodies, textured synths, and deep, pulsating rhythms. Zoe’s expressive lyricism guides listeners through a soundscape that feels cinematic yet intimate, while Cenk’s meticulous production balances tension and release with elegance. Drawing on a playful yet haunting conceptual theme, ‘Kaleidoscope’ transforms childhood nostalgia into a metaphor for emotional searching, resulting in a release that resonates on the dancefloor as much as it does in reflective listening moments.
It’s a mesmerising and immersive collaboration that cements Cenk Gursoy’s reputation as one of electronic music’s most forward-thinking and emotive producers.
