March 27, 2026

Jason Kushy is a rising force in the global electronic music scene, blending high-impact tech-house with a sophisticated, rhythm-driven edge. Originally from Pennsylvania and now based in Monterey, California, Kushy has established a distinctive presence through a commitment to sonic precision and creative autonomy.

He first gained widespread industry attention in 2025 with his breakout EP Keep It Moving, which surged into the Beatport Tech House Top 20, peaking at #18. This milestone served as the catalyst for a rapidly expanding footprint that now includes over 45,000 monthly Spotify listeners and extensive international radio airplay across multiple continents.

The momentum of the Kushy project is anchored by elite institutional support, his productions have earned verified plays from scene heavyweights including SIDEPIECE, Jauz, Bingo Players, and Wolfgang Gartner. Influential global platforms such as Insomniac/Insomniac Records, Barong Family, bitbird, and Space Yacht have further championed his work, while major media outlets including YourEDM, FOX, and Business Insider have documented his rapid ascent.

Central to his identity is the “Stay Kushy” philosophy—a global brand and mission statement rooted in authenticity and the delivery of a transformative fan experience. A true multi-hyphenate, Kushy maintains complete creative control over his visual storytelling, personally hand-drawing the artwork for every release to ensure an immersive and cohesive artistic vision.

With 2026 shaping up to be a milestone year headlined by high-momentum singles “Motions” and “Unspoken,” Jason Kushy remains a dedicated architect of the dancefloor. Focused on delivering relentless grooves that resonate globally, he continues his rapid rise to the top, ensuring that every performance and release offers a singular, unforgettable moment for his audience.

Can you share the story or inspiration behind this release?

“Motions captures that very real feeling of just going through the routine. There are times when you are putting in work every single day but not seeing immediate results, and it can feel like you are stuck in a loop trying to make things click.

That grind is what built this project. Even when progress felt slow, I made a commitment to keep showing up and refining, regardless of who was watching. That consistency is what eventually creates real growth.

I think it connects beyond music too. Whether you are working a nine to five or chasing something bigger, everyone goes through phases where it feels like they are spinning their wheels. But those moments have purpose. They are building the foundation beneath the surface. Motions is about having the discipline to trust that process.”

Was there anything unique or unexpected you tried in the production process that fans might find interesting?

“A major focus on this track was restraint. Instead of constantly adding more elements, I focused on refining the core identity and letting the small details carry the record.

Subtle changes in rhythm, texture, and space were everything. It is one of those records where simplicity creates impact, which is very similar to how I approach my artwork and the project as a whole. Everything is intentional. I would rather have fewer elements that hit harder than overcomplicate something that does not need it.”

Looking ahead, what are your goals or plans for this year as an artist and DJ?

“This year is about scaling what I have built. I have developed a consistent release pipeline and systems across my brand, so now the focus is expanding the audience and turning that momentum into real world opportunities like live shows and collaborations.

The goal is to take the growth I am seeing and build something that lasts. Not just numbers, but a real presence.”

Do you have any exciting projects, shows, or collaborations on the horizon, or recent career highlights you are especially proud of?

“I am excited about what is coming next. I have my first original remixes dropping soon, along with more original records and a merchandise rollout that will bring the visual side of the project to life.

Expanding across the West Coast and continuing to grow the Kushy network has also been a big focus. Seeing the music start to reach beyond my initial audience has been a major highlight. It is a strong sign that what I am building is starting to connect on a bigger level.”

How do you feel your sound or style has evolved over time?

“My sound has become much more refined and intentional. Early on, I was experimenting more, but now I am focused on releasing tracks that are structured, polished, and built to hold energy over time.

I pay close attention to how a track feels in a set and how it keeps people engaged without being overcomplicated. Any song can sound good nowadays with the help of technology. For me, it has to feel right when people experience it.”

What has been the most rewarding part of your journey as an artist and DJ so far?

“Watching the consistent growth of the project has been the most rewarding part. Having random fans express their thoughts about my project or how even for just a few minutes their world got a little bit better means a lot to me.

A lot of this comes down to discipline and long term thinking, so seeing the audience build and the music connect has meant a lot.

Even negative feedback has its place. It usually means the music is reaching beyond my core audience and into new spaces, which is part of growing.”

Do you have a dream collaboration or venue you would love to play one day?

“There are a lot of artists in the house space I respect right now, especially those blending clean, technical production with high energy impact. Collaborating with artists like SIDEPIECE, Sonny Fodera, Joel Corry, or John Summit would be incredible.

As for venues, the goal is to play major global festivals and iconic clubs, but I am just as interested in curated spaces where you can really connect with the crowd.”

What is something fans might be surprised to learn about you?

“While the project is creative, my background outside of music is very structured and disciplined, and that mindset carries into everything I do as an artist. I treat this as a long term system, not just a creative outlet.

Another big part of the project is that all of my artwork, branding, and visuals are self designed. I want everything people see and experience to feel intentional and true to the vision.”

Before we wrap up, is there anything you would like readers to know about you that has not come up yet?

“I am focused on building something that lasts. Every release is part of a bigger picture. It is about creating a body of work that grows over time, not just chasing one moment.

At the end of the day, it is about connection. I have loved electronic music for a long time, and there is nothing better than hearing that something I made had a real impact on someone’s day. Especially if they are going through the motions themselves.”
