Dublin duo Long Island Sound have released a new six-track project titled Ivory, out now via their own Signs Of Space imprint. The release drops on April 30th, closing out the label’s recent string of singles, and presents a wider body of work rooted in atmospheric house, breakbeat-driven rhythms and emotive club production. During the project the pair continue to develop a sound that bridges thoughtful listening with immediate dancefloor action.

The release comes at a busy time for Long Island Sound. They are also being backed with a Jenny Greene mix on RTÉ 2FM and are preparing to go on a five-date Irish tour with Ivory. Their ascent through the Irish electronic music scene is further evidenced by their upcoming special DJ appearance at the Overmono Guinness Storehouse pre-party in Dublin.

“Ivory is the last chapter of this Signs Of Space run,” said Long Island Sound about the project. The title track, they said, was built as a bare bones club tool, built on a bed of SH-101 synths and straight, propulsive percussion. It’s a new way of writing, not relying on big breakdowns or dramatic chord progressions, but putting emphasis strongly on movement, intensity and release.

The title track, “Ivory,” shifts to a distinct four-to-the-floor pulse, a move back toward a more straightforward club structure. It has a steady, propulsive rhythm and urgent melodic lines that build tension over time. The track doesn’t go for obvious peak-time drops, but works through repetition and progression, pulling the listener further into its groove with each section.LIS ALT 2 PRESS PHOTO – BRIAN LINCOLN PHOTOGRAPHY

That tension between subtle detail and physical energy runs throughout the wider release. The Long Island Sound’s music takes on emotional weight with atmosphere and melody, but the tracks stay firmly in club functionality. The result is a project that feels equally at home on late-night dancefloors and more attentive listening environments.

The collection ends with Searching (Live Mix), a track that brings the wide-screen quality of the duo’s live performances to life. It starts with cinematic textures before accelerating into a faster tempo, surrounded by a soulful vocal presence. It’s a more expansive and emotional ending, a closing moment to the project.

Signs Of Space (Ivory) Long Island Sound close the latest chapter in their creative cycle with Signs Of Space. The release showcases the duo’s ability to blend atmosphere, rhythm and feeling without losing dancefloor focus, giving a concentrated snapshot of their sound in 2026.
