MXGN opens his record box to reveal 10 tracks that reflect the sound and energy shaping his fast-rising presence within the current landscape of Techno. Drawing influence from Hard Techno, Trance, Acid, and Psy-infused sounds, these selections capture the high-impact approach that defines both his productions and performances. Since emerging in 2023, the Liverpool artist has built momentum through a run of heavyweight releases and support from some of the most influential names in electronic music, while continuing to push a distinctive Acid-driven sound built for peak time dancefloors. MXGN’s selections arrive alongside his latest release, a collaborative remix of Joyhauser’s ‘Knaldrang’ with Deevey on Filth On Acid.

Track 1: Yerbby – Encore Une Fois (Club Edit) – Self Release

Encore Une fois is an absolute classic that I have been listening to since I was little, it is definitely my top 3 trance tracks and is so nostalgic. This edit is a perfectly designed rework that slams big on a club sound-system, giving the original track a modern day punch. I love to play this one towards the end of my sets.

Track 2: Boys Noize – Sireneh – Boysnoize Records

This Track has not left my sets for the past 6 months, even if I don’t plan to, I always end up playing it. It is one of the most unique / weird hard techno tracks I ever heard and it always delivers, I always try to find tracks similar but they never have the same impact as this one.

Track 3: Klaps – Off My Rocker – Get In Line

I first heard this track about 4 years ago when I was at a festival in Amsterdam, it is an absoulute slammer and always goes off. It is perfect for a big warehouse setting and the breakdown builds a lot of suspense. It uses old-school 90s hoovers which are one of my favourite synths.

Track 4: MXGN – Without Trance – Self Release

This is one of my favourite productions I’ve ever made and I love to play it towards the end of my sets. It is the perfect blend of psytrance / acid with an emotional breakdown. I designed this track not only for the dancefloor, but to be listened to in the car, gym, wherever.

Track 5: Lustral – Everytime (Nalin & Kane Mix) – Armada

This is an older track that I have known for years, it’s very nostalgic and still bangs today. The vocals and lead have so much feeling and it’s always on my USB for those special sets.

Track 6: Joyhauser – Knaldrang (MXGN & Deevey Remix) – Filth On Acid

This is a remix I made with one of my good friends Deevey, the original track is a masterpiece by Joyhauser. We were both raving together about 4 years ago when we first heard this track. It is an absolute honor to have it officially released on Filth On Acid 4 years later.

Track 7: Alex Farell & Sikoti – Mistaken Identity – Teletech

This track is by my good friends Alex and sikoti, it is a blend of euphoric Melodie’s with high energy techno, perfect to warm up a room.

Track 8: Angerfist – Take U Back (Reinier Zonnaveld Remix) – Filth On Acid

This is a rework of an old hardcore classic by Angerfist, I think reinier absolutely nailed this remix, bringing modern day techno drums, this track fits perfectly in all my sets.

Track 9: TNT – Crunch – No Paradise Records

This track is a staple in my sets, the high energy build and drop just hit so hard on a club soundsystem. It is rare if I don’t play this in my sets, I think the production is a masterpiece and has a lot of old-school 90s elements.

Track 10: Jacidorex – Midnight Demons – Neoacid

Last but not lease is this track by Jacidorex, a production that is very unique compared to the rest of his music. I closed my first big show under ‘MXGN’ with this track and it absolutely rocked the Dancefloor. The blend of euphoric Melodies, acid with a hard hitting kick & bass is just phenomenal, this track is a piece of art.

MXGN’s and Deevey’s remix of Joyhauser’s ‘Knaldrang’ is out now on Filth On Acid.
