Fatima Hajji releases new single ‘I’m Feeling’ on Insomniac’s Mutate Records. Driven by a relentless schranz foundation, the high-intensity track pairs rapid-fire percussion and heavyweight kicks with piercing synths, sweeping effects and rising waves of white noise. Together, the elements build towards a charged, warehouse-focused sound. A distorted vocal sample runs throughout the track, repeatedly looping into a hypnotic refrain that adds to its surreal and disorientating atmosphere.
Born in Salamanca, the Spanish-Moroccan producer has developed her own take on hard techno by bringing together industrial textures, tribal rhythms and African influences, while drawing inspiration from her Arab heritage.
Hajji’s productions have earned support from artists including Charlotte de Witte, Carl Cox, Amelie Lens, I Hate Models, Monika Kruse and Deborah De Luca. Her catalogue also includes collaborations with Héctor Oaks, ED E.T and Roentgen Limiter.
The single arrives following her recent Face 2 Face set with Cera Khin at Verknipt’s Ziggo Dome event. Across the summer, Hajji is also set to perform at Time Warp, Awakenings, Kappa FuturFestival, Monegros Desert Festival, Aquasella and Medusa, alongside her Fatima Hajji Invites events and residency with Pyramid at Amnesia Ibiza.
