The beauty of Ferragosto is that there’s no single way to celebrate it. Some people head to the beach, others gather for dinner with friends, while many plan their long weekend around music. From Lignano Sabbiadoro to the Gallura coastline, via Jesolo, Tuscany and the Romagna Riviera, Italy’s leading clubs have put together three days of events that reflect how nightlife has evolved in recent years. These venues are no longer simply nightclubs, but destinations in their own right, attracting audiences from across Italy thanks to increasingly international line-ups.
The journey begins at Ca’ Margherita in Lignano Sabbiadoro, a historic landmark of the North-East’s summer nightlife. On Friday, August 14, Leo Mas takes over the decks alongside Massimino and Principe Maurice. For many, Leo Mas is much more than a DJ: he is one of the architects of Italian club culture, still capable of turning every set into a musical journey shaped by house music, Balearic influences and decades of experience behind the decks. Ca’ Margherita’s Ferragosto celebrations continue on Saturday, August 15, with Italian rap artist Tony Effe.
A few kilometres further west, King’s Club in Jesolo celebrates Ferragosto with Nico Moreno. On Saturday, August 15, the French DJ will perform at the Venetian club. Over the past few years, hard techno has grown in popularity, and Moreno has become one of the genre’s leading figures, making his appearance one of the highlights of a season that has already welcomed several names from international electronic music.
Crossing the peninsula, the next stop is Tinì Soundgarden in Cecina, Tuscany. Also on Saturday, August 15, the club hosts Spanish DJ and producer Fatima Hajji. Her sets combine rhythm, technical precision and energy, matching Tinì’s artistic direction. The venue’s Ferragosto celebrations begin a day earlier, on Friday, August 14, with an extended set by Ilario Alicante.
The itinerary then heads to the Romagna Riviera, where Villa delle Rose in Misano Adriatico continues its programme across multiple genres. On Friday, August 14, Italian rapper Tedua headlines the night. The celebrations continue with Il Pagante on Saturday, August 15, while Bob Sinclar returns on Saturday, August 29. Every Sunday, the club also hosts its long-running VidaLoca party.
The final stop is Phi Beach in Baja Sardinia, where international DJs perform throughout the summer. Its Ferragosto weekend begins on Thursday, August 13, with Black Coffee, followed by Hugel on Friday, August 14, Seth Troxler and Dennis Cruz on Saturday, August 15, and Peggy Gou on Sunday, August 16. The South Korean artist is among the headline acts of Phi Beach’s summer programme, which once again features a line-up of internationally recognised DJs.
From Friuli Venezia Giulia to Sardinia, via Veneto, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, Ferragosto offers an opportunity to travel across Italy through five different music destinations. Club culture, techno, Italian rap and international house music all feature across the weekend’s programmes, with venues around the country hosting events for one of the busiest periods of the Italian summer.
