Marking the start of the Autumn/Winter season, Sankeys Manchester returns to its new Sidney Street home on Saturday 26th September, unveiling a series of carefully considered internal enhancements and a refreshed venue layout. The season opens with a powerful lineup featuring Low Steppa, Pirate Copy, and Mike Morrisey B2B Luca606.

This year is the first time Sankeys has had a permanent Manchester base since its celebrated Ancoats venue closed in 2017, and its absence has been felt ever since. The new Sidney Street space has been refined and revitalised to bring back that same stripped-back, music-first approach that made Sankeys legendary in the first place, ensuring the club’s foundational ethos remains at the heart of its enhanced environment.
The club operates as an intimate 500-capacity space, with new air conditioning added throughout and a brand new, clandestine Room 2. Carved out of the former green room, this secret space is designed for clubbers to discover; an intimate room built for raw, close-up sets. Moving their artist dressing rooms upstairs has freed up further space on the club floor, while the new room gives Sankeys extra scope to programme across different sounds without pulling focus from the main space. The celebrated LED matrix installation returns alongside the no-VIP, no-phones dancefloor policy that’s always set Sankeys apart.
Musically, Sankeys returns to the house-led, underground energy that defined its legacy. In keeping with its music-first ethos, the club avoids the trend of headliner-chasing to ensure the dancefloor experience remains the absolute priority. By keeping special guests and residents unannounced until each week, Sankeys maintains a focus on the shared experience and the unique community spirit that keeps the venue at the forefront of the underground scene.

It all kicks off with regulars Low Steppa, Pirate Copy and Mike Morrisey B2B Luca606, with artists like Arapu, George Smeddles, Paisley Jensen, Richy Ahmed, Darius Syrossian, Miguel Campbell, Jaden Thompson, Seb Zito B2B Rossko, Grant Nelson and Priku playing between now and mid-December, with more special guests to be announced.
