Recently New York City’s premier underground event promoters Teksupport unveiled their New York Fashion Week programming, highlighting some of the world’s most noteworthy house and techno talent, along with a special performance by fashion-icon and DJ Honey Dijon.
Opening Teksupport’s NYFW programming on Thursday, February 9th is the second edition of Black Lotus, an immersive and inventive theatrical event concept. A joint initiative between Teksupport and leading experiential design company el studio, Black Lotus will return to Capitale after first debuting at the iconic location in October. Originally the historic Bowery Savings Bank, Capitale serves as a sophisticated and historically grandeur setting for a night of alluring sonic mystery curated by Crosstown Rebels head and Day Zero founder Damian Lazarus, Israeli DJ and producer Guy Gerber, and rising underground DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Mita Gami.
On par with Teksupport’s knack for utilizing groundbreaking spaces, the underground events collective will be hosting two nights of top-tier musical curation at The Glasshouse, an innovative venue boasting all glass floor-to-ceiling windows and unobstructed 360 views of the Manhattan skyline. The first Glass House show on Friday, February 10th will see Teksupport host Bedouin. The DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist duo have become globally renowned for their unique sonic vision, a style dubbed desert house, that draws influence from their Middle Eastern heritage.
On Saturday, February 11th, Teksupport will be returning to The Glass House to host globally renowned DJ, producer, LGBTQ visionary, and fashionista Honey Dijon grace the decks for one of her rare and eclectic sets. Serving as a cultural icon for the past three decades, the Chicago-born artist dominates the intersection between fashion and dance culture, DJing events for major fashion houses such as Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Dior as well as recently releasing her own fashion line ‘Honey F*cking Dijon’ and critically acclaimed second album ‘Black Girl Magic.’
February 10th will also see Teksupport host multisensory party concept Senza Fine Vol III: Chromatica at ArtsDistrict Brooklyn. Employing 360-degree projection technology, Senza Fine Vol III: Chromatica will see performances from Turkish-Italian DJ and producer Carlita, legendary Detroit icon Seth Troxler, Austrian electronic duo HVOB, and Ahmed Spins set to the backdrop of an immersive digital art canvas.
