Eddy Palermo opens his record box to reveal 10 tracks selected specifically for the road, the miles and the moments that come with endurance running. Blending his passion for electronic music with his commitment to fitness and wellbeing, these selections reflect the energy, focus and emotion that carry him through long-distance training and competition. From underground House and minimal grooves to deeper Techno influences and timeless classics, each track represents a different stage of the journey, whether building momentum, finding rhythm or pushing through the toughest moments. As Eddy prepares for BPMATHON, his world-first challenge to complete a 50-kilometre run while performing a continuous live DJ set, these tracks showcase the connection between movement, music and the mindset required to go beyond perceived limits.

Franky Rizardo & Motion Sky  – Everybody – LTF Records.

I selected this because it’s the perfect vibe for a run. The relentless low end paired with the uplifting synth stabs. It’s the exact energy needed to keep spirits high on a long run.

KiRKie – Sexy BK – No label (Soundcloud Self Release)

This is a staple in my sets. In a peak time slot this is sometimes the first track I play because it’s got a super gritty sound with a catchy vocal that gets attention. The low end of this track is amazing especially the way the bassline builds from the intro to main drop. The subtleties in the low end are everything for me on this one.

wAFF – Call On The Space Invada’z – Natural Rhythm

I selected this because this is one of the first tracks that got me into underground electronic music. 2012 is when I was first exposed to underground house music, and I quickly became obsessed. This is also a WMC Miami Sampler. This track was made for Club Space terrace. It’s that old school Miami club sound. An easy track to get lost to in the club (or run).

Paco Osuna – New For Me (Wheats Remix) – Mindshake

This is one of those rollers that doesn’t stop. It turns the heat up in a set no matter where you are and brings more life into a set.

Carl Cox – I’d Like To See You Again – Intec Records

I went to Ultra Music Festival as a 16 year old kid. I accidentally stumbled into the Carl Cox megastructure, and discovered underground house music. Life has never been the same.

Seigg – SP05 – RARE

Even though I play mostly house music, I grew up listening to techno. It’s part of my roots. I love groovy minimal techno and during my long run there are going to be some tough moments. 20 miles in is when I’ll be whippin out some techno and throwing down beats and miles. Seigg is a producer I recently discovered and I listen to almost everyday. The drums, the groove, the tempo. It’s just bumps.

Eddy Palermo – Stayin Fly 2.0.

This is a staple in my sets right now. Everytime I play it I get people asking for it. There are a million and 1 edits of this, but I like to think this one hits different.

Jerome Six & Max Chapman – Every Single Time (Max Chapman Deep Mix) – Resonance Records

I’ve been rinsing this one for many years. It’s a weapon for me and my best friend. We’re both obsessed with this track and pretty much all Max Chapman beats. They have the perfect bouncy, light, fun vibe that literally never fails.

East End Dubs & Rich NXT – E3 – Fuse London

This song writing in this is insane. It’s a pure minimal groover but the way they build the bassline and overall track is insane. There was a year this was the track I listened to most for the entire year. This is a real underground groover that educates a dancefloor. Something about this track has inspired me for many many years so it’s only right to include it as a must in this running DJ set.

Crazy P – There’s A Better Place – Paper Recordings

This song is pure magic. Released in 1998 using the Willy Wonka sample, turning into a full disco house vibe, then ending again with the Willy Wonka instrumental again. This song is a masterpiece and it’s a not so secret weapon now that I’m sharing it. RIP to Crazy P.
