Underground darling gone global Bae Blade now launches her own label B.A.E. – Build Around Energy with a typical explosion of edgy brilliance, via her new ‘INTRODUCING BAEDDIES’ EP, out September 25th, inc. a Laure Croft remix. First EP single, dance-dynamite ‘HEY MAMI’ is out now.

B.A.E. is an independent label built on everything Berlin-based producer/DJ Bae Blade looked for and couldn’t find. Drawing on years of experience, B.A.E. will give electronic artists a home where they are seen, supported, and valued for who they are.
Bae Blade is uncompromising and unapologetic about both her sound – high energy, kitschy & edgy mix of techno, hard dance and breaks – and her intention when launching her label. ‘I started B.A.E. because I spent years looking for a place that didn’t really exist, where being an artist equals living the freedom to create. Owning your work, your images, your terms, without asking permission first. B.A.E. is that place. If I can build the space I needed for myself, I can do exactly that for other artists who need it too.’ Bae Blade
EP single ‘HEY MAMI’: a full-on barrage of multi-layered breaksy percussion at break-neck speed, with squealing sirens, pulsating synth, distorted melody with hoover/doppler FX, fuzzy dark notes stomping through, plus her increasingly processed rap-style vocal… the range and variety are complex and subtle, the message and effect simple – go dance! ‘On my first EP, I was busy overthinking, so my main reason for writing “HEY MAMI” was to just make myself dance. No more overthinking, no filter, just the kind of energy that makes you want to lose it on the dancefloor. It’s cocky, it’s fun, it doesn’t apologize for either. Job done.’
The 3-year Rinse FM resident’s label launch follows a stream of sizzling releases on labels like Partiboi69’s Mutual Pleasure, SPFDJ’s Intrepid Skin, Hot Haus/Unknown to the Unknown, RAW … Plus shows at Terminal V, Into The Woods, Glitch Festival, WECANDANCE, ADE, Teletech, Zonnewende Festival, Fuse Brussels, BLITZ, Awakenings Festival, Dour Festival, fabric, Tresor Berlin, Mondo.
