New York electronic artist Pinto (NYC) makes his return to the iconic KMS Records with his second release ‘Thalias Disco’, a warehouse-focused Disco Techno record shaped by the energy, pressure and spirit of the dance floor.
Written following a night at Thalia’s Hall in Pilsen, Chicago, with Mike Dunn behind the decks, ‘Thalias Disco’ is aimed at the space between warehouse pressure and classic Chicago House. Moving with a direct, uncompromising energy, disco elements and rolling grooves meet tougher Techno pressure, channelling the energy of the club into a driving record that feels rooted in the foundations of dance music culture while designed for the systems and dance floors of today.
The release sees Pinto (NYC) connect New York with Detroit at a significant moment for KMS Records, as the label heads into its 40th year. Founded by Detroit pioneer Kevin Saunderson, KMS has played a defining role in the development of electronic music, with a catalogue that has consistently crossed the boundaries between Detroit Techno, House and the wider underground dance music spectrum.
Pinto (NYC) has become an increasingly recognised name within the international House scene. Beatport named him the #5 Jackin House producer of 2023, while his debut album arrived on legendary New York label Nervous Records. His catalogue also includes releases on respected imprints such as Pets Recordings, Glasgow Underground, Moxy Muzik and Material Series.
To date, Pinto (NYC)’s music has earned support from Carl Cox, Solomun, Marco Carola, Seth Troxler, James Hype, Mau P, Noizu, Mark Knight, The Blessed Madonna, and Danny Tenaglia, just to name a few, alongside a featured slot on Mark Knight’s Toolroom Radio show on Kiss FM. Pinto (NYC)’s previous single, ‘Dangerous’, recently reached #2 on Beatport’s Jackin Top 100, further underlining his position within the genre. Building on that momentum, 2026 has also seen Pinto (NYC) launch his own imprint, Jack City Records, marking another significant step in his growing career and expanding his presence within the global House music landscape.
With ‘Thalias Disco’, Pinto (NYC) brings that momentum to KMS Records, connecting the energy of New York and Chicago House with the influence of Detroit Techno. It is a record built from a specific moment on a dance floor, but one that reaches towards something much bigger, capturing the shared language between cities, scenes and generations of electronic music.
As KMS Records enters its 40th year, ‘Thalias Disco’ represents another connection between the label’s historic foundations and the artists continuing to carry that energy forward.
