Glasgow techno legend Gary Beck returns with a 4-track EP titled ‘Zone X’ on Warg Records on Friday 6th November. Featuring 4 quality tracks with his signature style, Gary crafts the perfect blend of driving beats with precise mechanical rhythm.

Gary is a well-known name in the techno scene and has spent years perfecting his signature sound. Since his debut in the late 2000s, he has released music on top labels such as Mutual Rytm, CROWD and Soma. Gary has played many well-known underground clubs and festivals such as Fabric London, Womb Tokyo, Awakenings, Output NYC and Timewarp. He has had many highlight achievements throughout his career, including a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Gary is one of the most consistent and unique producers in techno. With his new release, Gary collaborates with SPEZ’s Warg Records. Warg Records have made a name for themselves with their no-nonsense, out-of-the-box and heavier side of techno. Starting as a nightlife series, Warg have now become an iconic label and tour. This is another huge addition to their growing reputation.

Starting with ‘Zone X’ we have an intense opening track full of fast-paced beats and precise programming. Moving on to ‘Bronze Heart’ we have a more aggressive and heavy track with punchy beats, rough synths and a funky techno vibe. The third track, ‘Charlie Won’t Come Down ’, sees Gary go for a more minimal approach. A hypnotic loop creates a tight and infectious rhythm. Finally, we close with ‘Salt Pan’. We have a deeper dub vibe with steaming vocals and distorted melodies. Overall, Gary showcases his amazing ability to combine raw energy, precision and an underground vibe on this 4-track release ‘Zone X’.
