OUT NOW Released 22nd October

BTY London’s ‘Take Me’ is a remix of a classic Tiesto Track with BTY London’s stunning pianos, stuttering vocals and incredible ear candy. The tune can get the crowd buzzing and everyone on the dance floor. With its lovely buildup to an epic drop, beautiful piano vocals, and powerful bassline this song takes you on a journey into another universe.

“The process didn’t take that long to work out once I was in the correct mindset. I wanted to portray an element of happiness in this track, with everything that had gone on with COVID 19, I just wanted to create something happy and upbeat but yet chilled at the same time.”

The music video takes the listener on this journey exactly, following two happy-go-lucky people enjoying life on an idyllic island. “I just wanted the story to portray happiness” BTY London says smiling. Coupled with the message that “if you can be happy in yourself then everyone else will trigger that happiness”, BTY London effortlessly translates his message.

Throughout his 10 years of producing, BTY London has enjoyed critically-acclaimed success, being featured on air with BBC “Strangers Falling” and he recently signed with Boosted Entertainment. With his recent release, the returns of gigs and festivals, BTY London is ready to dominate the scene.

Getting To Know BTY London

Artist name and location?

BTY London – East Yorkshire, UK.

Introduce yourself in one paragraph:

Hey! My name is BTY London, also known as Chris. I’m from East Yorkshire, United Kingdom. I’ve  been producing music for over 10 years. Before the creation of BTY London, I’ve been known for producing piano music with dark scores, a dark cinematic track ideal for filmwork and adverts, and being featured on air with BBCs “Strangers Falling”.

Were you connected with music from a young age, or anyone in particular inspired you?
It’s quite interesting actually, I was connected with music from a young age. The first ever artists I listened to back then were Armin Van Buuren and Above & Beyond. I was truly inspired by them with their music, where it gave me the motivation of who I want to become, a music producer not only being known globally for my music but also to give something good to society.

What first kickstarted your musical career?

What first kickstarted my musical career is when I was making my own music. I got recognized by Omar from Atmos Tempo Records with whom I have an E.P. From the recognition and the E.P, it gave me more motivation to make music.

Tell us a more about your sound and how it has evolved.

My sound is quite interesting actually, I usually make Deep House or Disco, where I would remix songs by taking snippets and creating it into my own creation. In addition to playing around with professional VST Synths like Omnnisphere, Nexus, Synth-master and Korg M1 VST. Eventually it just evolved to the sound I have today.

Any words you want to share to encourage other artists and producers?
Music is art, cherish it. Take time and relax. The best method when it comes to creating music is to have no distractions whatsoever. Yes, this does mean put the phone to the side and turn on Do Not Disturb. Have a relaxed, peaceful environment as it’ll help you a lot to make the musical juices flow. Another word of advice, which I think is very important, if you feel like you don’t enjoy what you’re producing, do not throw it away. I remember, a well known producer always mentioned this to me. All your ideas are important because one day you may go back to that particular idea you had and it could end up a masterpiece.

Networking, consistency, character, approach… what and how do you initiate your Industry relationships?

When it comes to industry relationships what I normally do is keep in touch with my labels to make sure I can do all I can on my end. In addition to constantly reaching out to other music producers for feedback, guidance, etc.

Is there anyone specific you’d like to thank that has helped you evolve and why?
Yes! The person I would like to thank the most is Omar Meho as he was the first one who recognized me as a producer and gave me the opportunity that I have now. Without him, I wouldn’t be here. I would also like to mention DJ Winston from Boosted Entertainment. He has given me this opportunity to further advance my music career. A truly helpful individual and a great company.

Name 3 albums or labels that have inspired you the most.

Three albums that have inspired me the most are:
Armin Van Buuren – ‘Imagine’. It’s an unforgettable track, especially its production. It’s truly a top notch track.

Another track is ‘In My Memory’ by Tiësto. The synth lead sounds within this song are beautiful.

The third and final track is ‘Sirens Of The Sea’ by Above & Beyond. A truly mesmerizing track that simply shines. This track encouraged me a lot with my own music creations.

Whats your favourite piece of studio equipment or software?

My favorite software I currently use a lot is Ableton Live 10.

Name your favourite club or festival in the world, and how does it make you feel? One of my favorite festivals in the world is Godskitchen. This festival itself made me feel like I was in a whole different world especially when I was younger.

Name an outlandish rider request?

An outlandish rider I would love to have when going on tour is Above & Beyond or Tiësto where I would like to experience the atmosphere of the crowd. The atmosphere would be better than anything I could put on my rider!

Favourite clubbing memory, who or what did it involve?

My favourite clubbing memory was when I was in Ibiza at the age of 21 and Tiësto performed at Amnesia.

What quote represents you best?

The quote that best represents me is “Always give your best and try to figure out how to do an even better job.” – Ben Carson

If you could play any venue, where would it be and why?
