Sagia opens her record box to reveal 10 tracks that reflect the sound, mood, and influences shaping her current musical direction. Rooted in melodic Techno and emotive club music, these selections move between driving energy and deeper, atmospheric moments, mirroring the sonic world of her latest EP, ‘Storyteller’ on Desert Hearts Black. From hypnotic rhythms to powerful late-night cuts, each track plays a role in how Sagia approaches the dancefloor, blending tension, release, and storytelling through sound. Whether in the studio or behind the decks, these are records that continue to inform her musical identity and connection with the crowd.
Track 1 – Sagia – Storyteller – Desert Hearts Black
“Storyteller” is the heart of my new EP – born from my fascination with the desert’s mystique. I wanted to bottle its vast silence, whispering winds, and shifting dunes. This track is my invitation for listeners to drift with me beneath starlit skies and journey deeper into the desert’s soul.
Track 2 – Denis Sulta – Our World (With a Boy on His Shoulders) – Sulta Selects
I’ve been a huge fan of Denis’ writing for years. When I first heard Jonathan Kaspar play this track at a Kompakt event, those cut-up melodies grabbed me instantly. I fell in love on the spot. Since then, I’ve been eagerly watching for every new piece Denis puts out.
Track 3 – Geist – Saboteur – Tulipa Recordings
Absolutely loving this one – it’s perfect for those warm-up sets, setting the tone for the night with positive energy. The track fills the room, captivating everyone from the first kick. Every moment is a joy, drawing you in and creating an uplifting start to the evening.
Track 4 – Gregor Tresher – Witchcraft – Cocoon
From A Thousand Nights to today, Gregor’s productions have always stood in a league of their own. I heard him play live in Berlin last summer, and it was pure musical mastery. “Witchcraft” is another perfect example – its melody lifts, drops, and spirals, pulling you deeper every time.
Track 5 – Marius Drescher – Sektor – Ritter Butzke Records
Another total dancefloor heater. Every time I play it, the whole room lifts to a completely different level – it just flips the energy instantly. From that moment on, it’s a wild ride. I’ve got nothing but pure love for Ritter Butzke and the vibe this track brings.
Track 6 – E-Dancer – Pump The Move (Bart Skills Remix) – Drumcode
This rhythmic dancefloor weapon, originally by techno legend Kevin Saunderson and remixed by Bart Skils, delivers unstoppable energy. Its deep, driving bass and powerful production ignite any club system, making it a guaranteed crowd-mover. A timeless blend of classic roots and modern punch that works every single time.
Track 7 – Sagia – Mojave – Desert Hearts Black
I wrote “Mojave” with darker vibes in mind. It closes the EP with extra-energetic rawness, built for late-night tension. On the dancefloor it hits hard – club-tested, stripped-back, and unapologetic. This track captures my love for shadowy moods and that electric edge that keeps the night alive. It’s a truly fierce finale.
Track 8 – Ida Engberg – Pink Monkeys – Kompakt
There are countless hidden (and not so hidden) gems from Kompakt. This one from Ida Engberg elevates the scene once again and takes the vibe somewhere else. It’s powerful and it draws you in completely, creating a full on, intense journey.
Track 9 – Teenage Mutants – Shadows – Filth On Acid
The energy that Teenage Mutants bring in their production and their live sets is unbeatable. Once they’re on, it’s going down. I love the dark emotive melody in “Shadows”, it’s electrifying and always leaves and impact on you.
Track 10 – Tiga – Mind Dimension (Kölsch Remix) – IPSO
No proper event feels complete without these two for me. Like many of you, I’m a huge fan of both, so when they joined forces, the result was an absolute killer. Pure chemistry, pure impact. I love this track every single time – it just never misses.
