Blending progressive House, melodic Techno and cinematic electronic sounds, these selections reflect the emotional depth, detailed sound design and storytelling that define his work both in the studio and behind the decks. Raised in the Netherlands with a background in piano, guitar and drums, Mees Salomé has developed a distinctive sound that balances warmth, atmosphere and forward momentum, earning support from artists including Lane 8, Adriatique, Nora En Pure, CamelPhat and Kölsch. His selections arrive alongside the release of his new ‘Let It Be (Real)’ EP, a project that further showcases the immersive and emotionally driven sound that has become synonymous with his name.
Track 1. Lane 8, Kasbo & BJOERN – World Is Mine [THIS NEVER HAPPENED]
Recently released, this one instantly grabbed me. Lane 8 and Kasbo always know how to hit that perfection emotion, combined with BJOERN’s vocals it turns into something really special. One of those tracks that completely takes over a room when it drops at the right moment. It makes you feel powerful. Pure vibe from start to finish.
Track 2. MYRNE – Field [THIS NEVER HAPPENED]
This track is just a masterclass in production and mixing. It’s incredibly detailed, but everything has space and purpose. The progression slowly pulls you deeper into the track. It has this warm, comforting energy that almost feels like the music is hugging you.
Track 3. Lipless, Kaskade – State of Mind [COLORIZE]
Beautiful vocal work paired with a brilliant chord progressions and sound design. Lipless always has a way of making melodic dance music feel cinematic, and Kaskade complements that with his energy perfectly here. It all flows insanely well. One of those tracks that sticks with you long after it ends.
Track 4. Above & Beyond & Zoë Johnston – Quicksand (Don’t Go) (Sultan + Shepard Extended Remix) [ANJUNABEATS]
The break in this track gives me goosebumps every single time. Zoë Johnston’s vocal is hauntingly beautiful, and Sultan + Shepard know exactly how to build tension around it. The long buildup creates so much anticipation before finally exploding into the drop.
Track 5. Yotto, Eli & Fur – Somebody To Love [ODD ONE OUT]
This track is just pure groove. Yotto’s production always has that deep, hypnotic drive to it, and Eli & Fur bring such a cool vocal presence and atmosphere. Everything about it feels effortless.
Track 6. Le Youth, EMME – Talking Like That [THIS NEVER HAPPENED]
EMME’s vocal rhythm on this is completely intoxicating on this and Le Youth built the production around that perfectly with a super smooth and groovy instrumental. The whole track flows beautifully from beginning to end. It always gets stuck in my head for days.
Track 7. BT, Matt Fax – Vertical [ARMIND]
Huge record. The buildup is epic, the melody feels massive, and the payoff is incredibly satisfying. One of those tracks that’s made for big festival moments.
Track 8. KREAM – Paradigm [LIQUID LAB]
The level of detail is insane, that delayed sounds and textures at the start in beautiful. Than the bas hits. Everything feels incredibly cinematic. Really epic track.
Track 9. RÜFÜS DU SOL – Innerbloom (PACS Remix) [UNOFFICIAL]
Perfect remix of a perfect song. 5:46, need I say more.
Track 10. Dosem – Beach Kisses (2023 Mix) [ANJUNADEEP]
A true progressive masterpiece. The sound design, timing, and subtle movement throughout the arrangement are mesmerising. Dreamy, deep, and completely immersive.
