Following the success of his first single of the year, “Proud”, rising DJ-producer and multi-instrumentalist KDYN returns with “Never Giving Up,” the second single from his highly anticipated EP due in June.

Known for his genre-defying sound, South London based, British Guyanese KDYN continues to push boundaries with this new release, blending influences from UK garage, house, soul, funk and beyond into his own unique musical style.

Says KDYN, “Life will test you, challenge you, and push you to your limits. But never giving up means proving that no obstacle is greater than your determination.”

The release comes hot on the heels of his first single “Proud” which was premiered on DJ AG’s TikTok LIVE set with Defected Records and earned significant support from BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar on BBC Introducing Dance, Abbie McCarthy on BBC Introducing Kent, and consistently supported by Siane Eleri on BBC Radio1’s Future Artists. Jess Iszatt also featured “Proud” on her BBC Introducing show and  Rebecca Judd highlighted KDYN as her ‘Ascending Artist’ on her Apple Music 1 show, demonstrating KDYN’s recognition as a future star as he continues to make waves amongst his peers.

KDYN has quickly made a name for himself through his raw talent and innovative approach to production. All of his tracks, including his debut EP last year ‘As Souls Find Greatness’, are entirely produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by him in his home studio. The result is a fresh, captivating sound that blends genres and resonates deeply with listeners.

Born into a musical family with roots in UKG, KDYN’s upbringing immersed him in the vibrant sounds of London’s underground scene. Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of influences, from Funkadelic, Prince and Madlib to Lin Manuel Miranda and AMP Fiddler, his sound is a testament to his passion for new music discovery old and new and an eclectic and ever evolving taste. Adding to his musical palette, fresh inspiration comes from the likes of Cleo Soul, SAULT, Kaytranada and Little Simz, whilst incorporating his live elements with synths and guitars as he begins to rub shoulders with the likes of Barry Can’t Swim, Fred Again, Mura Masa, Tom Misch and more.

The majestic “Never Giving Up” boasts slow motion and seductive downbeat grooves with aching vocal hooks. Lush piano chords drape melancholy around the drums while whimsical synths give way to vibrant strings as the grooving and gritty charm continues to unfold and marks the next step in KDYN’s ascending journey with the full EP dropping in June.
