Marco Rovere delivers “Parallel Life,” a no-nonsense groovy tech house cut that gets straight to business. The track combines solid rhythmic foundations with organic percussion elements, creating a groove that’s both driving and textured. What sets “Parallel Life” apart are the alien vocal samples that surface during the breaks, adding an otherworldly dimension to the otherwise straightforward club framework.
Rovere strikes the right balance between DJ friendly and distinctive, crafting a track that works in the mix while offering something memorable. Coming soon for those seeking effective dancefloor ammunition with a twist.
What is the story behind the track?
This track has a major techno-house influence. I decided to give it a lot of groove to create a good push for dance halls and festivals. The idea came to me after watching a horror movie about aliens, which inspired both the title and the alien voice samples that can be heard in the track’s breaks.
Did you do anything special production-wise with this one that might be interesting?
I have always been a music producer and DJ, but the turning point came in 2015 through my collaboration with Waves Music, a studio in Genoa. This partnership allowed me to learn and continuously improve my tracks and production techniques, which are constantly evolving. From my first release to today, I consider myself lucky to have produced for very important labels on beautiful projects. I’ve also created an independent label called TBR8, where “Parallel Life” will be my next release.
What were your influences for this track?
It’s not for me to say. I prefer to let the audience and other artists respond to my work. What I can say is that with every track and every project, both I and the people I collaborate with give our absolute best.
How would you describe the track?
I love party atmospheres—from aperitifs to clubs to festivals. In these moments, people are carefree and having fun, disconnecting from normal life. I like to create tracks that help people escape from everyday routines, which is my inspiration for creating something new every time. “Parallel Life” fits many party situations. It’s a techno-house track with a rhythmic and hypnotic composition, characterised by a driving groove, synthetic sounds, and a structure that aims to create an immersive and dynamic sound experience.
What are your plans for this year as an artist/DJ?
I’m working extensively with radio stations, including two monthly shows on Ibiza Stardust Radio and every Saturday night on Silver Music, an Italian digital radio station that broadcasts my new program “TBR8 Pulse.” The name continues the theme of my TBR8 label and studio recording project.
Do you have anything exciting coming up?
I’m always working on new music projects to continue my journey as a producer. I’d like to continue carving out space on radio and at gigs to have my productions and music selections heard by more people.
Is there anything extra you can share with us about yourself?
I’m very satisfied with the path I’m on. I see it as continuous growth, fuelled by my passion for making new tracks and developing my projects further.
