Born from the sun-soaked spirit of Ibiza’s legendary Las Dalias cultural landmark, MYDIR’s “Las Dalias” weaves deep Afro rhythms with melodic house energy — transporting listeners from late-night garden sessions to dawn-lit dancefloors. Originally released on WeAreiDyll Records, the track draws inspiration from the iconic Ibizan venue and market’s rich history of music, movement, and connection, blending hypnotic grooves with lush synths and evocative percussion.
For Las Dalias (Interpretations), MYDIR invited four visionary producers to reimagine the track through their unique sonic lenses:
Argento Dust – Hailing from South Africa’s vibrant house music scene, Argento Dust is known for his emotive fusion of African musical influences with deep, soulful house. A seasoned DJ and producer recognized in Durban’s underground circles, he brings rich rhythmic depth and hypnotic soul to his remix, adding a fresh dimension to the original groove.
Wisso – Hailing from West London, Wisso’s musical style is a fusion of diverse cultural influences and intricate melodies. His journey began with a fond love of Jungle and Drum & Bass, with this later evolving into the more Melodic House soundscapes that he has become known for over the last few years. His tracks and DJ sets are dominated by progressive rhythms, deep baselines and organic percussive elements.
Mooskie – Born in Liverpool, Mooskke is a progressive house producer weaving dark, emotive soundscapes inspired by the trance era of the late 90s and early 2000s. With intricate melodies and driving basslines, his productions and monthly podcast invite listeners into a deeply immersive sonic journey.
Kakura – Blending Afro, Indo, and melodic house with cinematic storytelling, Kakura fuse dancefloor energy with emotional depth. Their music, supported by BLOND:ISH, Adam Beyer, and Matador, has millions of streams. They’ve supported Eats Everything and Fat Tony, played Blue Marlin, Pikes, Plastik, and played live shows from Ibiza on BBC Asian Network and Ibiza Sonica. They also produce documentaries for the BBC exploring identity and sound. This year, Kakura led IMS Ibiza’s first-ever Indo House panel which was broadcast on BBC Sounds.
Together, this remix collection — dubbed Interpretations — captures a spectrum of emotional and dancefloor-ready remixes, celebrating diverse artistic voices while reshaping a beloved club cut into an expansive, multidimensional release.
Moreover, the buzz around the Argento Dust remix has begun permeating festival circuits, coinciding with Shimza’s confirmed performance at Tomorrowland Brazil 2025, where DJs and tastemakers are increasingly spotlighting fresh Afro-inspired sounds emerging from deep house communities worldwide
