The El Tony Producer Academy returned for the second year running to inspire a group of 8 up-and-coming electronic music producers. Swiss natural energy drink brand El Tony has teamed up again with Beatport to provide selected candidates with an entirely free opportunity to enhance their skills while working with world-class international artists.

From 1st to 7th October, 8 winners from across Europe were invited to take part in the Producer Academy. They received guidance from well-known DJ/producers, SKALA and Kid Simius, and took part in an exciting new creative experience outside of their normal home studio environment. As part of El Tony Mate’s Culture Collective, the Academy helps support up-and-coming talent. El Tony Mate is a refreshing natural energy drink that can be enjoyed in everyday life, your studio, late-night gigs and early mornings. It is made using natural ingredients.

Ellen Fölmli, Culture Specialist at El Tony Mate, says: ‘With the Producer Academy, we want to create opportunities for producers to learn, connect and grow beyond their usual home studio setup. Bringing them together with experienced coaches and other talents creates a completely different energy. Seeing how creative everyone became throughout the week and how inspired they left showed us exactly why we want to create spaces like this.’

Outside of the studio, participants enjoyed a taste of the internationally renowned electronic music scene that Ibiza has to offer. They headed out to Hï Ibiza for a night of fun and spent time working on their productions at Metrica Studio. The group quickly became a tight-knit creative family. By the end of the week, they had gained new musical ideas, new friends, valuable industry connections and insight into the professional electronic music industry. The Academy is part of El Tony Culture’s ongoing support for up-and-coming artists. Other activities include Selected Sessions.
