Berlin-based trio House Kapelle makes its Electric Mode debut with the infectious ‘VIBE EP’ – ready to slay any dancefloor!
The House Kapelle consists of Kaillou, Mike Vom Mond and Lukas Kuite. “Kapelle” is an old-fashioned German word describing a traditional brass band, a nod to the DJ and production collective’s eclectic sound. The Berlin-based outfit combines House and Techhouse grooves with saxophone sounds, vocal elements and percussion beats, both in production and live performances.
From their shared apartment in Berlin-Schöneberg, the three flatmates have been experimenting with sounds and rhythms on a daily basis. Influences range from Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop and Soul, flowing into their music and set into the basic framework of House and Techhouse. At their gigs, the House Kapelle members like to play B2B and mix live instrumental elements over their irresistible electronic beats.
House Kapelle was founded in 2019, with the trio producing its first EP that same year. Since then, they’ve been busy feeding Berlin’s party people with funky tunes via their party collective DISKOLUSION, a music channel that is dedicated to organising online parties (available on Youtube, Soundcloud, Facebook and Instagram).
House Kapelle has been busy making a name for itself with performances at well-known German clubs including Hawerkamp 31 in Münster, Rosaroter Panzer in Berlin, the Artheater in Köln, as well as the Kaschemme in Basel, Switzerland.
This year the trio is making an impactful debut on Electric Mode with not one, not two, but three HUGE releases: “Funk Phone“, a new production in collaboration with producers Philipp Höne and Martin Meyer, “Vibe EP” together with Berlin-based producer Armin Ajoori, and “Vibe Remixes”. All this groovy goodness is coming soon on Electric Mode, so stay tuned and get ready to get your FUNK ON!
